    LOCAL: Winterthur, Switzerland   The building presented is the transformation into a congress centre of a former post office building, in the town of Winterthur, which faces one of the main roads, parallel to the train station.

  • + Courtyard Sports House

    LOCAL: Winterthur, Switzerland
    The proposal presented aims at integrating into the pre-existing mill production factory a new volumetry, in such a way that it permits meeting the new programmatic needs – a sports centre.In presence of the vast programme and its consequent large scaled area, the idea of introducing a yard comes forth. This element of the composition allows the access of light to more spaces, organising them more clearly at the same time. The yard is in a higher level them the outside area. The usage of this space created by the different volumes that is surrounded, introduces a different space quality to that area that can be felt by the users of the yard and of the building.
    The programme is then divided into three parts. The pit, pre-existing vertical element, stands out from the volumes for horizontal sports, at East the badminton hall, and at South the skater hall and indoor climbing).

    A proposta apresentada para a requalificação urbana da cidade de Braga possui como conceito base os “Corredores Verdes”. Estes corredores seguem alinhamentos da cidade romana e medieval, que se foram perdendo com a expansão da cidade não planeada, e permitem deslocações rápidas entre o centro e a periferia.     (EN)  Localized in the north of Portugal, at a city called Viana do Castelo, Pedrito's factory appears in the urban periphery, punctuated mainly by single houses. Influenced by the shapes of the surrounding roofs, the building is designed with inclined planes, colors and industrial textures, in order to act as a catalyst for customer marketing and repair automobiles and motorcycles. Is composed by tree floors equipped with the state of art technology. Each floor is used for a commercial activity. The building aims to be a reference in the Portuguese market.
    (PT) Localizado no norte de Portugal, na cidade de Viana do Castelo, a oficina do Pedrito surge num contexto de periferia urbana, pontuada essencialmente por habitações unifamiliares. Influenciado pelas formas dos telhados envolventes, o edifício está projetado com planos inclinados de cores e texturas industriais, com o intuito de funcionar como catalisador de clientes para a comercialização e reparação de automóveis e motociclos. Fracionado em 3 pisos equipados com as mais recentes tecnologias, cada um dedicado a uma atividade comercial, o edifício pretende ser uma referência no segmento do mercado português.
